1997 F150 mis fire

1997 F150 5.4L Triton V8 automatic.When driving with the rpm's between 2000-3000 engine seems to misfire.If I step on gas or let off it goes away.Can any one help? Thankyou.

If you can go to a parts store and get codes read and post back with code numbers. Autozone does it for free, they just try to sell parts right away.

]Are tritons wires all go to a distributor cap or separate coil fired? Either way, How old are your wires? Sometimes you can see leakage in the dark when revving. 2-3k is a prime range for that to occur.
