i just bought a 92 z34 for 400 bucks( )it has 244xxx kilometers on it,the problem is the engine turns over, but it wont fire
i put the battery charger on it and it fires up right away
it is a new battery, and yes ive load tested it,
the starter seems to drag a bit with out the charger on it,
do you think my starter may be the problem,
im lost,so any info would be great

Re: whatchya think

pull your starter and go have it load tested for free at an auto parts place. Sounds like its pulling too many amps.

Re: whatchya think

also, when i first put the battery in,there is a relay under the hood on the passenger side that was clicking really fast, but i think it was because not enough voltage to keep the relay open, just enough to engage it,once i put the charger on, it quit clicking, the rpm gauge and speedo started climbingevery time you turn the key on,and now the speedo is maxed out, even with the car shut off.ill start with starter and go from there i guess.
even if i spend another 1000 bucks, ill still be doing ok i think

thanx again
