'98 caravan 3.0 cooling system problem
my '98 caravan has a serious cooling system issue. when i add coolant to the radiator it leaks out in a steady stream from somewhere in the back of the engine on the driver's side, towards the center. anybody have this problem before or know what i may be dealing with?

Re: '98 caravan 3.0 cooling system problem
There's a coolant pipe which runs across the engine under the intake plenum. The pipes are known to rust through. Also a possibility are the o-ring seals on the pipe.

thanx peterjon1, i'll look into that possibility... is that coolant pipe low and does it run from the radiator to the rear?

No, it runs across the engine in the valley between the cylinder heads. If yours is down low, that's not it. Do you have the rear heat option on yours?
