Turn signal question 97 LS Regal
Hi the left side turn signal will blink rapidly when I use it and after driving for a few miles will return to normal. I changed the bulb last weekend, worked fine. Drove the car later went to signal left and it started to blink quickly again. Just wondering if it is the light socket (which I changed in 2006) is the problem or something else electrical? I noticed also taking the old bulb out was hard like it was stuck in the socket itself.
Any comments/suggestions appreciated |

Have you checked/changed the fuse?

Re: Turn signal question 97 LS Regal
which fuse for the turn signal? I assume it might be the socket causing the bulb to burn out

If it was the socket, wouldn't replacing the socket have fixed that? |

Re: Turn signal question 97 LS Regal
There is a turn signal/cornering lamp fuse located in the passenger side fuse box of the dash but if that was blown you would lose all turn signals not just the left side.
It sounds like either a bad lamp socket, an intermittent open in the wiring between the multifunction switch (MFS - stalk) and lamp socket or the multifunction switch itself. At the respective signal lamp socket check for a pulsating 12 volts with MFS on at one side and ground at the other side.
