97' loosing antifreeze

i have a 97' lumina and i have to add antifreeze every two or three days now. the oil looks good, and the antifreeze looks good(but i am adding to it all the time). i don't have any stains, or puddles under the car. there is a stain on the head but it looks old, and it looks like oil from the valve cover. has anyone else had this problem? any help would be great.

Re: 97' loosing antifreeze

I have the same problem. Its 90% likely the gaskets, althought its possible theres a pinhole leak in a hose and its burning off on the engine before it hits the ground.

Re: 97' loosing antifreeze

It could also be water slowly dripping out of the inspection hole on the water pump. When was it last replaced?

Re: 97' loosing antifreeze

Id start the car block the tires car parking brake set and car in park and look under it to see if it is dripping out the inspection hole of your water pump.

Re: 97' loosing antifreeze

well i found the problem. after about four days of adding water everyday i finally parked it and started taking it apart. problem 1; quick connect in the intake to the heater hose. problem 2; both intake gaskets were falling apart near #5, and 6 cylinders. the intake, and valve covers are on, but its hard to work in the dark.
