oil plug washer.
Recently about a week ago, i changed my oil myself on my car. After i took the bolt out and let the oil drain, i set it on a work bench in my backyard, and i mistakenly nudged the bench, the bolt fell to the floor, and the washer on it cracked. I put the oil plug back on, but without the washer, and i wanted to know is there any danger to this? I was told by someone that sooner or later I will have to find a washer and put it back on, so I will probably have to change my oil again really soon, but i want to know if i should do it immediately or can i still drive around with it like this for a little while?
BTW im sorry if i make too many threads, its just that i like finding info out about my car, and since my car keeps having all these minor problems, i thought i would get some DIY type of help instead of going to a mechanic shop.

Re: oil plug washer.
As long as it doesn't leak, there is no problem....

Re: oil plug washer.
It will leak without a washer, keep an eye on the oil level until you get a new plug & washer. Install a new drain plug with washer included!
