SPI swap

I have an 01 2.0 SPI thats shot. Can I swap for a Vtech? and what do I have to swap to make it all come together?

The 2.0 SPI is junk at 150,000 miles.They wear out and they need a piston ring job.One yard I know in my area knows about it,gets calls on the 2.0 SPI engines

Do you mean a Honda VTEC (which can in fact refer to dozens of different engines) or a Ford Zetec (the optional better engine in the focus)?

You can swap the SPI(POS) for a Zetec engine. I am in the process of doing so myself. There will be some modifications you will have to do to the fuel lines and wiring.
