Strange Electrical Issue

Hey guys, yesterday I replaced my blower motor resistor on my 2002 grand prix GTP since blower settings 1-3 were not working. After replacing all 5 settings now work fine. Just last night I started the car and the daytime running lamps don't work, the dash lights are out, and the door chimes as soon as you open it like the headlights were left on or something. I'm thinking it is the ignition switch problem that I've been reading about but I find it strange that this started right after I replaced the resistor. Is there anything I could have screwed up or forgotten to plug back in under the blower motor that would cause this? Oh yeah I checked the DRL and DIC/HVAC fuses and they were not blown. Thanks.

Re: Strange Electrical Issue

Welcome to AF.

It is not uncommon to see a flaky ignition switch show up after replacement of the blower motor resistor. Based on your symptoms it looks like the ignition switch and harness assembly.
