2001 Expedition stuck in park

My 2001 Expedition Eddie Bauer started fine this morning but I cannot move shifter out of park. I would normaly suspect the brake pedal/shifter acctuator but the power windows and interior lights also stopped working. I checked the asscociated fuses and they check out OK.
Is there a relay that controls these functions?

Thanks

Hey I fixed the problem. It was fuse # 15, a 5 amp fuse listed as interior light relay fuse which also controls the brake pedal shift release and power windows.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe it will help someine else. It is a good thing to check ALL fuses when something stops working.

Re: 2001 Expedition stuck in park

I replaced #15 fuse (5amp) and everything worked fine however several hours later with the vehicle simply parked the fuse blew again.

Appears to be a "short" of some kind but it seems to take several hours for the fuse to blow.

Any thoughts?
