89 shadow swapp

got a 89 2.2l shadow and the tranny i believe is starting to slip. u come to a stop and give it gas and it like hesitates then goes and its been starting to do it in different gears now. well my ? is since i got a 2.2l will a 2.5l tranny bolt up and work. i found a used tranny but its for a 2.5 and dont wanna buy it if it aint gona work. and if it will work is there any thing else u might need with it like drive shafts?
