1949 Mercury

This was another one I got built during my absence.

This was my first box stock model in about 10 years. I always manage to wire something but this time I resisted the urge. I can also use this for entries in the box stock category at shows too.
Anyway, this is the Revell Mercury kit which was released in 2007. It's a good kit and there is a variety of parts to which one can make their own custom version.
There was a bit of flash to clean up, surprising for such a new kit. The only issue I had, was that my chassis was slighty warped.
The colour is Tamiya Candy Lime Green with Tamiya Clear, and Tamiya Mica Silver for the underside. All kit chrome has been removed, and is either painted Alcad Chrome or BMF.
The only addition I made was to add a pair of dice to the rear vision mirror.

Thanks for looking, Kane.

Re: 1949 Mercury

Super build. The finish is superb. The metalic size looks right on scale, not too big.

Great job. I like the little touch of the NSW number plate too. It is something I like to do as well, as it adds local flavour. Congrats!!
