Loose Steering

I have a 91 ranger with power steering and I put in a new steering gear box due to leakage problems. Though now after replacement the steering is loose at the wheel. It's not pulling, it's just loose so that you end up having to turn the wheel back and forth alot to get movement. I had a shop verify that the alignment is good and the caster/camber parts, tie rods, and ball joints are good. He says I need a new rag joint/steering coupler. I was told by someone that it's adjustable. Anyone know how to go about tightening it up.
