Re: 92chevy lumina stalls
You have actually posted in the Chevette forum. For a moment, I got all excited because I thought someone out there actually still drives one
Your trouble could be explained by bad plug wires. When the insulation breaks down on the spark plug wires, the spark energy can jump to ground or jump to an adjacent plug wire, causing weak, erratic and improperly-timed sparks. Also, a worn timing chain, or one that has jumped a tooth can also cause this trouble. |

Re: 92chevy lumina stalls
Quote:
A high resistance in the injector will cause the rough running and stalling. being that 3 of the injectors run from one driver and the other 3 run from the other driver. what happens is the high resistance in one or more injectors will feed back to the computer and cause the other injectors not to fire properly causing this condition. The unfortunate thing is that you have to remove the upper intake plenumn to access the injector to measure the resistance. remove all of the injector connectors and measure the resistance of each injector. anything under 12 ohms, the injector is bad. |
