oil leak problem
i have 2000 chev blazer 4x4 and was told it is leaking oil from the oil pan gasket and they want $800.00 to fix it. wow!!!!! has anyone had problems with oil leaks with a 2000 chev blazer. do have to pull the eng. to replace it.

Common areas for leaks are the oil pan, oil lines, crank position sensor, lower intake, and rear main seal so check all of those. To do the oil pan the entire front axle has to come out and the engine has to be raised about 2 inches. If its a rear main, the trans has to come out.
