For a fully charged battery to go dead, ( no period of time mentioned), your alt output has to be low, bad cable connections or some kind of draw.

how long dose it take to drain battery? are your cables good and clean? because they may look good on outside but when you take them off what do they look like?

Re: dead battery 99 lesaber

cable's are clean alt output 14.8 cold with the battery not fully charged 13.8 after charged no bad dioeds in alt. like i said i connect test light between cable & battery the light is bright at first then goes out. mabe their is a module that shuts off because it does not receive enough amp. it takes 12 to 18 hours to discharge. does anyone know a better way to check for drain.
thank you

I sent you a PM with some details concerning the testing procedure for parasitic drain. Good Luck
