o4 Jetta tdi

I have a new oil pan from the dealer for a 04 jetta tdi with manual trans. I am going to replace the pan myself are there any tricks or shortcuts that would be helpful? I also have the tube of sealant. Anything i should know about applying that? Any info would be appreciated THANKYOU

Re: o4 Jetta tdi

Make sure it's not going to press all over the place. Make sure you take a razor and clean all the sealant off of the bottom of the block and on the pan itself. Might clean out the pan itself while you have it off.
