Radiator Leak '89 Bronco
After some time, I finally discovered a leak in my radiator from the fitting that is just below the overflow rubber tube. The leak is actually coming from where this fitting is connected to the radiator ( sides of which are nylon/plastic ) not where the tiny metal tube connects to the fitting.
My question(s), Can this area be repaired/replaced? If so, will JB weld work or the radiator stop leak stuff that is sold at the parts store? I'm trying not to spend $200 for a new radiator if possible. Thanks for looking and responding in advance. ~C |

Re: Radiator Leak '89 Bronco
it may be possible to patch it - at least temporarily - with a ""cold weld"" epoxy such as J-B Weld.i would let it sit for 24 hours or more becausee of the flow of the water in ur radiator, going form hot to cold. and going over the weld

Re: Radiator Leak '89 Bronco
Ask Ford parts if they sell a new insert for the tube. Some times you can remove them and go to the hardware or parts store and get a copper fitting that will work. I thiink the quick disconnect is leaking and you should be able to use a tool pull the tube out and repair it.
