HELP!the power to my radio and dash won't shut down without tripping the back window

I have A 94 pathfinder ,How can i shut down the power to my radio and interior, when i hit the back window release it will shut down but there must be another way they make to do it i finally wore out the switch relay and i also then have to go back to shut the back window,as an afterthought whats the difference between the relays and color/gray/brown/blue /black????
