bmw 530i stereo switching off

I had problems with the internal phone cable heating, I disconnected the two fuses in the glove compartment now when I switch off ignition the radio stays on. Also when driving the radio or stereo will switch itself off intermittently, is this the sign of electrical malfunction or something more simple
