anyone on here know if the stealth or 3000gt saw racing outside of auto-x?

i was watching SCCA gt2 racing the other day, and figured with them running soltice gxps, 350's, and a few other 300hp cars that's where they'd fit. however, gt2 level has only been around since 98, and gt1 doesn't allow turbo's and gt3 is ex le mans sports cars.

i thought it'd be interesting to see how well a vr4 or sl would do against these cars...of course on a closed circut. i figured with the interior stripped(vr4) it could weigh in at near 3500lbs or so.
