new engine & transmission install
Hello, I really need some insight here.
I bought a new engine and transmission for my 97 windstar van.The mechanic previously had done fords before, but when he came to my windstar he had all the front end off then realized the whole frame had to be taken off too. He apologized,re-installed everything and didnt charge me a cent.He recommended I contact ford, another mechanic who was more fully equipped,or refund my parts and trade/cash in the money towards another vehicle. Any words of wisdom from any gurus out there? ps he was willing to do the whole shebang for 1,000(about 15 hrs projected work) before this all went awry. |
