Megane II gear selector issues

Hi, I've just bought a megane 1.9dci, 53 plate and have a couple of issues I'd like to sort: 1) although all the gears seem to engage fine, the gear knob does not feel like its getting back to the central position when in neutral and this makes changing from 2 to 3rd a bit fiddly - is this sortable and how much will it set me back?; 2) the drivers door is making a clacking noise everytime I open /close it - I guess this would be lack of lubrication - can I sort this by myself or should leave the garage to deal with it? not sure why your box is doing what its doing but if you find you need a gearbox i have one...it one i got by mistake,i have a laguna once id drive 100's of miles to fetch it was the wrong pk6 box and then i couldnt return it...so i have a box thats no good to me... ash
