Questions about 1996 Corolla harmonic balancer
Hey guys,
My alternator belt recently went on my 1996 Toyota Corolla. It shredded a small ring off of the belt, and the larger piece of the belt somehow jammed between the harmonic balancer and the motor. When I pulled this out, I realized the piece of the harmonic balancer that is ridged for the belt(s) can slide off of the rotating shaft. Is this normal? I have done timing belt jobs on my other car (91 Talon) but have never really touched the "reliable" car before
