08 silverado tailgate lock

does the lt truck come with a auto locking tailgate or should i buy a keyed tailgate. im looking at new trucks and the dealer was closed i noticed that the work truck had a keyed tailgate and the lt didnt.

The locking tailgate is an option. I have it on my new 2008 LT and it's listed on the window sticker under options.....

you can put them in yourself for about 50 to 70 dollars and not that hard to do
