track tonight

Hey,
Just letting everyone know I'm going to the track to run a few baseline's on my hatch. I have dropped in a D16Y8 (sohc vtec 96) but I don't have VTEC hooked up yet. So, I will be running my 3" ghetto ram intake, HP Racing header, lowered 1.5" Sprint springs, Rota Slipstreams, Dunlop 195/50/15 Sports and that is about it. Still have stock exhaust. It is an 1/8 mi. track in Northwest FL. Let's see what she can do, shooting for mind to low 10's. I'm excited, see ya!!!

I'm back. Here's the summary. Overall, pretty good.
1st run: 36 psi in front tires. RT:.202 Hopped the shit out of it which popped out of first gear, re-engage first, hop until 2nd, don't let off gas into 3rd gear. Time:11.518 @ 65.8, 60 ft:3.343 very bad run

2nd run: 36 psi in tires. RT.537 (very bad) Hopped first but managed to keep it in gear, gas into second, gas into third. 60 ft:2.491 Time:10.536 (damn it helps to stay in gear)

3rd run: 18psi in tires. RT.277 Hopped for a split second then hooked, not too bad of a launch 60 ft. 2.296 (getting better) Same thing, stay in gas on both shifts. Time:10.265

4th and final run: 18psi in tires. Beautiful launch. Launched from 5500, no spin, no hop, i like it!! 60 ft. 2.247 Same ol' shit, all gas shift fast. Time: 10.291.

Could have made another run but I was happy with a 10.2 and I could drive home. Funny thing is, buddy of mine in a 68 bug (2160cc, T3 turbo, Fuel Injection, etc etc) sheared apart a CV. Guess who was the tow truck...ME!! I've done it before in the DPFI car so why not. Towed fine, still have a clutch. Thank God Florida is flat. Anyway, I had a good night. When I get VTEC hooked up that should set me up with a 10.1 or a 10 flat. Advance the timing with some nice race gas and maybe 9.9. That would be nice. An exhaust would help some probably. I had a good night, thanks for listening.

I honestly have no clue what that would translate into the 1/4. I would like to know. Probably in the 15 to 16 sec range considering stangs run around 14's. I think the times were respectable for a baseline run but nothing to "brag" about.
