Endemic's Ducati 916

Well it's my first time to build the 1/12th! i just bought a 99 yamaha r1 in real life. so i thought i want to build one of 1/12 during winter time.. too cold to ride the bike haha..


Here's my Ducati 916 build up

Started


getting it all together before to painting on parts.



detailling


the motor looks not realistic enough so i need to buy new paints make it looks real. :/

Front End installed! some parts i havent to paint because too lazy hahah.. and took off the fresh mold line middle on the tires... looks better!

I must say that the front fork would look better with some paint on it to separate the parts.
How did it go with the engine color, decided to skip it or have you repainted it already?

yeah i did paint some the front end but not in the picture.. and yeah i skipped the motor colors.. i need to buy some more colors to make it looks realistic..

welcome to the forum. The 916 is a great bike and I have it also in my pile.

The bike looks quit good, however I did find some seams on different places. Maybe you can try to sand the parts a bit more the next time, you will find that it will give a much better end result.

What color will you use on the bodywork?

Yeah i am still new to models and i do work on the cars in real life.. medals and plastic is big differences for me haha.. i will work on that thanks for your advices
