Question buying supra with high miles

hello,

im new to the world of supra's and want to jump in....

my question is this....i can get a good price(at least i think its a good price, $22,900....is it?) on a 95 supra twin turbo six speed....everything i want....problem is its got 108,000 miles.....its from a dealer so theres a little security in it but what should i look for in terms of worn engine parts?? what would be the most likely things to be wrong with it with that many miles??

thanx for any help and im sorry for the ignorance....

1) Make sure you get a compression and leak down tests I think the cyl psi should be around 130 - 140 per cyl +/- 14psi (please correct if wrong)

2) Go to MKIV.com very usefull site

Good Luck.......

If i were you i would pass up the deal and look for another supra. I picked mine up with 39k miles for only only a little over 27thousand bucks. The car was in mint condition. Also if you plan to mod your car why do you need the warranty as it will most likely be voided after they see aftermarket parts on your car. Well with that high mileage you would want to make sure the valve stems are ok. When you start teh car car in the morning and a big puff of blue smoke comes up it can either mean your valve stems are going or just condensation in the exhaust. Also if your at a stop and when you take off and you see a puff of bluish white smoke that can be signs of your valve stems. Lasly i was told that if you rev your motor and if smoke comes out a few seconds later out of the exhaust that can mean valve stem failure. A lot of the guys on the supraforums have this smoke come and not affect performance on their car. It just looks ugly to have that smoke come out. Like beef said do a comp ratio. I think it is around 152psi in each cylinder or higher.
