Hoe do i restart computer

I have a 2001 nissan sentra gxe 1.8 it had a bad mass air flow sensor so i changed it and the check engine light is still on does anyone know how to restart the computer

One way is to disconnect the battery terminal and force the computer to power down, This may not be the best way, but it will certainly work.
