swapping engine 93 gmc 5.7 1500 xc

Hey Thanks for your help just decided to join. My question is this.
do you start the motor and break in the cam with the brown/blk wire unhooked or leave it hooked during this session and unhook after break in?

Maybe I wasnt clear we'll try this again. Do you unhook the tach wire on above vehicle during cam breakin then time or leave it hooked during breakin and adjust timing afterwards ???
