2001 Wrangler 5th gear

While going down the road, it just jumped out of 5th gear. Won't engage when I try to put it back into 5th. I have a 4cyl, 01, Wrangler. Trans trouble. Rebuild? Replace? Simple? Not?

It could be as simple as a linkage issue. Is the Jeep lifted or modified?
