security light staying on?
We have 2005 equinox and had a remote starter put in by Daughters friend.He worked for a place that does these. He did it after hours for her. The passlock theft deterrent system light on dash board has been on ever since. They could not figure out what they did wrong. Any ideas? Thanks Jack

Usually when you install a remote start kit, it seems to override the security system and eliminates most of the issues related to them. Maybe its trying to compensate. You could take it to the auto parts store and have them check codes. I can't imagine it being serious though. Security systems are notorious for making the friggin' vehicle hard to start if they start at all. Good luck.
