Please READ NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM OR HEARD OF IT 96 Jeep GC

Ok my jeep runs fine most of the time but here recently while im drive above 40 on the highway my jeep begins to shake irraticaly so bad sometimes I have to pull over. But it is wierd because it only happen maybe 50 percent of the time i drive. Sometimes I can get in it and drive across town with no problem, thne sometime I get in it and make it a mile and the front end stars shaking, it basically feels like the front end is about to fall out. I am about to crawl under it and check it out. I was thinkin maybe it is a tie rod or maybe the u joint. but when it happens I can feel every shake in the steering wheel. Any advice or even possibilities would be appreciated. Thanks

Search for DEATH WOBBLE.

There are many things that can cause death wobble: Bad Shocks, Steering Damper, Alignment, Bad Wheel Bearings, or the combination of all.

I had this problem and changed everything in the front end except for the springs and never got rid of it, then I bought a HEAVY DUTY steeing damper (I recommend Old Man Emu SS Damper) and that finally took care of the problem.
