2000 Caravan
I just bought a 2000 w/ a blown head gasket, and I was considering replacing the engine instead of just the gasket.. it's a 2.4 liter DOHC, but I was wondering if the newer 2.4 liter engines will mate up to the transmission that's currently in the van.
Or, if the 2.4 turbo engine from the '04 PT Cruiser would bolt in, not considering the OBD rating or extra sensors. Also, if nothing else, how hard would it be to make the entire engine/transmission bolt in from another car that has the 2.4liter/auto trans combo?

Re: 2000 Caravan
I found the information on other forums - any 2.4 (maybe except the WORLD 2.4, newly built and installed in US vehicles) will bolt in directly, without regard to the engine mount (which may need to be changed).
In the search, I also found out about a Eibach lowering kit, big brake kits, turbo kits, etc... all aimed at the Caravan/T&C spefically... even found Projector headlights, and LED tails.. LOL. Addco sway bars, custom/performance headers/exhausts, intakes, omg there's an aftermarket for the Caravan! LOL
