low end (torque)
hey i have a 1992 eagle talon tsi AWD. I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to get more low end out of my car. i have a T2 turbo on it and an exhaust (no headers yet). I have alot of power when i get to about 2500-3000 RPMs and its an automatic so i always get slautered on the launch but i think it has alot of patential. i would rather not dump alot of money into it YET. any cheap solutions?? also the moter is a stock 2.0 how much boost do you think i should be putting to it ? i really cant afford to blow the thing up. and i put a boost controler on it so its getting about 14lbs right now.

Re: low end (torque)
Welcome to AF!
First things first do your maintanence stuff: plugs, wires, fuel filter, timing belt if you need it. You have what turbo on it? Uh never heard of a T2 before. The car came stock with the 13g turbo on it so is it stock? There no "headers" on your car either, its a manifold and if its still stock then you have either the stock turbo or a 14b, 16g, possible a T25 but that would be stupid to put on the car as its so small. Your car is not going to have much torque down low because its turbo and you have a low compression motor out of boost. So your just going to have to deal with that. As far as getting off the line hold the brakes and give the car as much gas till the car starts to pull forward. Let off the brakes and floor it to get the best launch.

Re: low end (torque)
In addition to the above, "about" 14lbs is a scary thought when using a stock boost gauge. Get a real one.

Re: low end (torque)
ok so i have to deal with the fact that it does not have a v8. but to my second question are the stock boost gauges inacurate? if they are not and my boost gauge is right is 14 too much for my stock motor? sorry for all the questions but i am new to tuner racing and am used to having to build up a motor (wich in a tuner also looks very funny to me) not a turbo.

Re: low end (torque)
Stock gauge is based around a guess the ECU makes then relays to the dash. Get a real vacuum/boost gauge before anything else.
I have no clue what your second sentence is about...

Re: low end (torque)
stock motor can handle 50lbs/min! but your fuel system can't. there are many more limiting factors than just what the motor can hold.
