1998 blazer 4x4 problem
When I push the 4x4 button, the light comes on but the front-end won't
lock into 4 wheel drive. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Re: 1998 blazer 4x4 problem
Auto or reg 4W?
Does the front drive shaft lock in? Does the right front axel lock into 4W? http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=572914

Re: 1998 blazer 4x4 problem
Its auto 4w and the front drive shaft does not lock in nor does the
right front axel. My husband said the front end was making a grinding noise this summer and he was wondering if there was a place online he could get a picture of the " pumpkin". ' |

Re: 1998 blazer 4x4 problem
If the auto 4W check for front end locking or drive shaft lock in it reg 4W.
Also a good transfer case scanner will show codes if there is a problem with 4W end. Any check/service lights on?
