Question 1989 Bronco key switch

I just got a 1989 bronco and the key wont turn back far enough to take the key out,and wont go to ACC position, it looks like its been apart or replaced before...This is a 4x4 V8 with a 4 speed. any tricks to replacing the switch or is it installed in the wrong position?
thanks RC

Re: 1989 Bronco key switch

While aftermarket key tumblers are cheaper I would suggest a new dealer item. I've had your type of problem with aftermarket units after a few months. Use a Haynes or other manual for guidelines on installation.
