Question Black Chrome AB?

I'm curious about an airbrush that I saw a pro modeler use on the Japanese Show: Plamo Tsukurou
I saw this:

In on of the episodes sleepylafiel uploaded... (I've watched most of his uploaded videos... lots of great tips in them)
Direct link to the part of the video: Here

I'm curious about this AB for 2 reasons:
1. The full ab is in Chrome Black.
2. The cap that it has is somewhat like a rifle nozzle.
Both of which I've never seen before!

Haven't found any info on this model on the web...
Is this a custom made model? Or, is it/was it once available to the common public?
If anyone has this model or one that has this 'riffle nozzle' style cap.. can you share your opinions on it? (Mainly if you could compare it to the more common 'crown' cap)

Thanks for any info anyone can provide,
Steve

Re: Black Chrome AB?

It's most likely one of Airtex airbrushes.
Go to this site, and search by "black"
http://www.airbrush.co.jp/english/store.php

I don't own it, so I can't comment on how it performs.

Re: Black Chrome AB?

Hi,
It certainly looks like the Hansa Topline 381. You can find it on http://www.harder-airbrush.de/english/hansa_top_04.html
I have seen this ab and it's feels very high quality.

Re: Black Chrome AB?

Looks sweet... thanks guys for the fast answers.
Really would like to know how the 'splatter' cap performs. (Somewhat misleading name? )

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Black Chrome AB?

I have used the Harder & Steenback Evolution - Two in One http://www.harder-airbrush.de/english/evolution_03.html which i think is superior to the hansa airbrush in terms of looks. Very high quality and the option to change color cups is very practical. Spatter cap lets you spray very near to the subject without splashing. Its works just like the crown cap found on iwatas.
Hope this helps
