Question

97 Town Car Quitting

I have a 97 lincoln town car executive series that just quits like you have turned the key off. Everything in the car powers down just as the key is off. Resetting the hot post on the battery terminal will make it run again. Not sure what is wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
