Key won't release from ignition
Can't get the key out after placing car in park on my 2001 Rodeo. Could be related to the switch in the console which releases shifter. I had a problem with that until I discovered that if I pulled back slightly on the shifter before depressing button it would release from park. Any answers as to the cost of having the dealership fix this.

Re: Key won't release from ignition
I do not know much about that specific vehicle however a few things to try would include: 1 pull the steering wheel all the way to the left or right and try to remove the key. 2 make sure the shifter is all the way in park especially if you are on a hill. 3 you will look stupid but it has worked for me try rocking the vehicle while attempting to remove the key. Two of a few possible causes may be worn tumblers in the ignition or even a copied key cut bad.
