Re: 2003 GTS How do I remove driver door panel?

well i removed the door panels from a 2000 eclipse gt so assuming its the same panel this is how i did it...

there are two screws, one near the hinge, and one on the opposite side where the door meets the body that screw through the panel into the door. remove these. next inside the plastic casing behind the door handle and lock assembly there is another screw. remove this and then remove the plastic backing, it kinda slides out. next using a small flat screw driver or something of that nature CAREFULLY pop off the silver caps on the top and bottom of the fixed verticle handle. i recommend starting in one corner of each cap prying it up a little then moving the screw driver over a little pry up a little more and so on. be careful they may break. next remove the 4 screws (2 behing each cap) from under the caps just removed. make sure u remember where each screw goes as they arent all the same. next pry out the window switch panel with a wide screwdriver. insert the driver at the bottom of the plastic piece and push gently in toward the buttons while prying up. unplug the harness. if you have the stereo with separate tweeters you may need to pop off the tweeter cover with the screwdriver. next using a door popper or a wide flat screwdriver CAREFULLY pry off the door pannel. there are probably about 10 or so door clips starting on the left side of the panel at the top going all the way down and right and back up the other side near the hinge. this part is relatively easy after the first clip or two is popped out. finally carefully lift up and out a little on the door panel to slide the panels top seal off the door. be carefull that nothing catches and that everything is disconnected before pulling too hard on the door panel. it will probably take some wiggling and such here and there but should come off. good luck and be careful not to break anything!
