Maybe a stupid 2G maf to 1G car question??

Hello guys,

I have just swapped my 1G maf with a one from 2G car. I am still running the stock 450's.
The problem is that the car starts, idles for a 5 seconds, then dies.
I was thinking I need to compensate with an AFC, but since I don't have it yet (it's on the way), I was wondering if that's normal?!
Is it that big difference in the airflow, that the car can not start and idles?

Or maybe something is wrong with the 2Gmaf, or I should be looking for the problem somewhere else.

Thanks in advance, guys!

As long as you wired the MAF up correctly you should be fine. Your going to run lean until you get the AFC on the car so it may not run.
