Maybe a stupid 2G maf to 1G car question??
Hello guys,
I have just swapped my 1G maf with a one from 2G car. I am still running the stock 450's. The problem is that the car starts, idles for a 5 seconds, then dies. I was thinking I need to compensate with an AFC, but since I don't have it yet (it's on the way), I was wondering if that's normal?! Is it that big difference in the airflow, that the car can not start and idles? Or maybe something is wrong with the 2Gmaf, or I should be looking for the problem somewhere else. Thanks in advance, guys! |

As long as you wired the MAF up correctly you should be fine. Your going to run lean until you get the AFC on the car so it may not run.
