Cool adding tranny fluid

tryin to see if anyone has beaten the "go to the dealer to get some transmission fluid added" trick, if you have let me in on the secret, everyone wants me to beaten over the head @ the dealer to add some tranny fluid, i refuse unless no other choice

what kinda car is it because some of them you need to hook up the OBD 2 connector to the chrysler (star scan) and reads the level over the computer

There is a special tool to put in the dipstick tube also,part number 9336 and you can get this from Miller tool which makes Chrysler's special tools.It is not cheap,$72.00 for this tool which is a dipstick.You can use most scan tools,for the fluid tempature and there is a chart to go by.Also use the recomended fluid,ATF+4.The Mitchell repair on the computer does show the chart.
