Fiat 500D - I only follow 'da Ferraris!

A little unconventional bit of fun for this weekend.

The kit is a mega-simple Gunze 1/25 Fiat 500D curbside kit which has the grand total of 25 parts.

It was built box stock (more or less ) but:

• has modified optics for the windscreen
• is painted in original Ferrari Rosso Corsa
• has Ferrari F430/Enzo/FXX inspired stripes
• the tires were converted to white walls using rings of white decal paper
• the kit chrome was replaced with Alclad II and chrome window trim was covered with BMF;

And here he is – Luigi who “only follow ‘da Ferraris” (for those of you who remember “Cars” LOL)











I hope Luigi gives you as much of a laugh as I had making him this weekend :thumbup:

One of the strangest films I've ever seen. The thought of talking cars with giant eyeballs in their windscreens made me fearful to go into my own garage for weeks. I've spent too many a late sleepless night contemplating what those giant eyeballs look like when you're seated inside the car....

But it's a terrific little build! Cute idea, and a very suitable use for Gunze's simplified little 500. I particularly like the little flag.
