94 cam 3.4
hello. my security light stays on and i dont know what to do. at first whenever it would come on the car wouldn't start until the light went off, but now it stays on all the time. although it doesn't sppear to be giving me any problems anymore it just kinda bugs me bc i always have to look at it. what could be the problem?

Its the VATS system. Bypass it before it strands you somewhere. Take your key to a dealership and have them find the resistance number of your chip in the key and then search on the internet and find a VATS bypass cable for car. It shouldn't be more than $30 and will save you lots of headaches later on. Trust me.

i just had a similar problem with my 91. I bypassed the vats system with a $1.99 bag of of resistors from radio shack. it takes a little while because once you have the resistor values(16 on mine) you have to try each one. hte vats cable is the orange one under the dash and has 2 white wires in it. the resistor values are easy to find online.
