Question 4 wheel drive making noise ONLY! HELP

I own a 2001 Kia Sportage 4x4 and yesterday after being in 4 wheel drive, it starting making a barking noise. I have manual Warn hubs replaced last year. But it started yesterday 30 mins into my drive and when i take the wheels outta 4x4 and the car shifter itself and put it into 2 wheel drive it no longer does it. Only when the Warn hubs are put into 4 wheel drive. I can leave the car in 4 wheel drive, however, it's only when the hubs are locked.......
I took it to the shop and some dude told me it's my wheel bearing (however, it's only when in 4 wheel drive) so it can't be the bearing. Any help would be great right about now. I am single mom with very little money to fix things.

Re: 4 wheel drive making noise ONLY! HELP

...Check front driving shaft universal joints...a common problem...that would be my first guess...THey will grind more under 4WD stress!
Can't totally rule out the wheel bearing though ....as there is additional stress when operating in actual 4WD. Bearings are for the wheel..so jack one wheel at a time with hubs unlocked and rotate wheel, check for lateral and vertical play....Engage hub (but not the T-case shifter) and rotate wheel`look for suspicious noise. Report findings.
