I just had a remote starter proffessionally installed on my 95 3500 with 4l80e. Tranny seems to be stuck in 2nd and wont shift, I let off the gas and feels like it goes into neutral. I have had no problems with the truck in the past and fluid is clean and not burnt. Filter was changed 5,000 miles ago. I read online that it might be a ignition switch (low voltage). Anyone have experience with this or ever heard of this before. I need help asap cause i can't have my truck down.

Re: 95 3500 4l80e problems after remote starter installed
The tranny does get power thru the ignition switch and they may have tapped into that switch causing low voltage at the tranny. Without 12+ volts at the tranny, it will not shift right.
You need to see how they wired the remote starter since that is when the problem started. //2000CAYukon Last edited by 2000CAYukon; 12-19-2008 at 12:14 PM. |
