Non-turbo to Turbo
Just an idea that keeps popping into my mind and I'd like some suggestions or opinions. Would it be worth it or too much trouble to convert a Non-turbo '95 eclipse gs to a turbo?

Basically, you can buy a kit or build one. Building one yourself is cheaper, but may take awhile to hunt everything down. It's also about how much you want to spend. My custom kit was about $1300 with all parts. I did it all myself. Hahn makes kits that I believe go upward of $3000. If you're building a kit... the ABSOLUTE BASICS will be... -manifold -turbo -wastegate -blow off valve -piping -some sort of intercooler -oil lines and fittings (oil pan return, sending T) -fuel pump -FMU/SFMU -boost gauge -logger -wideband -safc That would be the basics to run very low boost. The stock injectors can run up to about 9psi or so. The block is capable of about 10psi depending on the condition it's in. So I gave a lot of info... let me step back for a second. You should do a compression test and see what your numbers are and see what condition the motor is to begin with. If it's healthy, then check your wallet and watch. If you have the money and time, go for it. Most people who turbo their 420a eventually blow it up. Stock block was not built to boost so it won't take much to destroy it. I know I cut the life of my block terribly because I boosted and was getting fuel cut because I forgot about the fuel pump . Not good.
