Broken Pulley
I have a 2001 gmc yukon 5.3 V8. This morning on the way home a pulley broke on me. I am trying to figure out what the pulley is for or called so that I can replace it. If your facing the engine it is located on the top left. also it is on the top left of the belt diagram. I was able to get home by wedging the belt back on to where the pulley was but that is not going to work for very long if at all. Thanks for your help.

Re: Broken Pulley
Sounds like it is the serpentine belt tensioner pulley- which mounts to the tensioner itself- most auto parts stores should either have the pulley or the tensioner or both as an assembly....
