Complete: Customer's Ford Rat Rod Pickup

One of the most fun builds I've ever done. Always wanted to do a chopped and channeled rat rod and finally got the chance!

The only thing missing is a steering box with a rod to the front suspension, because I'm still trying to FIND a steering box to fit under the driver's framerail.

Built using a Monogram '37 Ford Pickup kit. Cab was chopped and channeled over the original frame, the front axle was moved forward several scale inches, and the rear framerails were cut, with the rear axle moved significantly forward to shorten the overall truck. Bed was also channeled, with a "wood" bed made with Testor's Flat Interior Tan and Rust Brown dry brushed over it. Battery was mounted in the box and wired.

Body Colour is flat interior tan. Grille, tail-lights and headlights are from an AMT '32 Ford, with the wheels and tires (which are AWESOME) from Modelhaus. Engine is a basic smallblock Chevy with a single Holley 4 barrel, fuel inlet line was plumbed as well as a distributor and coil wired.

Big thanks to M1CRO for the custom-fabricated Lake Headers, they look awesome!

That's about it I guess. This was tons of fun.

Terrific work! I tried to edit it as well but something went wrong. I'd love to see more pictures of it before it goes to its new home!
