I have a 2001 Venture. About 6 months ago my cruise control and cigarette lighter in the front and the back of the van quit working. I replaced the fuse in the fuse box #17 I believe and it didn't seem to help. Any ideas. Need the lighters to use a dvd player asap.

Re: Cigarette Lighter/Cruise Control Problems
According to the wiring diagram I have the cigarette lighter and DLC are on one fuse while the front and rear power outlets are on their own seperate fuses.
Have you checked all the fuses from the information in your owners manual ? |

Re: Cigarette Lighter/Cruise Control Problems
I changed one fuse and I don't know which one for sure. What is the fuse on the diagram that should be changed if you dont mind me asking.

Re: Cigarette Lighter/Cruise Control Problems
Cruise control issues can also be linked to a problem with your rear brake lights such as a short. Have you checked your rear lights to see if they are all functioning? There are known issues with the rear boards having problems with water infiltration and causing shorting out to occur. You might have to disassemble the rear lights to check for burned appearance with the plastic "boards", and replace if damage has occurred.

Re: Cigarette Lighter/Cruise Control Problems
I do apologize but my wiring diagram does not specify the fuse number.
I was hoping that your operators manual would shed some light on this. |
